About Hostbasket
Hostbasket is the hosting and cloud computing offer of Telenet.

Historical overview
1999
Hostbasket was set up under the name 2-consult with, as its core business, developing software for e-business sites. 2-consult quickly grew into a 15-strong team of technical experts.
Reliable hosting facilities are essential for providing customers with a constant, solid service. Offering our own hosting services was therefore a logical step forward.
2001
Hostbasket was chosen as the product name for hosting services and domain registration. It was decided to stop developing software and focus on further expanding and specialising in hosting services.
When the registration of .be domain names was liberalised, the demand for registrations soared. With our background as a software developer and our constant aim for flexibility, we were the first DNS Agent to develop an automatic domain registration system. This automation enabled us to offer our customers more product and service options.
As an innovator, Hostbasket was continually searching for new technologies. We worked closely together with major IT partners such as Microsoft, testing and evaluating their technologies.
2003
The good cooperation with Microsoft began to bear fruit.
- First hoster in the world to work out "1-click hosting”, in collaboration with Microsoft. This allows customers to upload their projects from Visual Studio to their web hosting with a single mouse click.
- First hoster in Europe to offer Hosted Exchange and SharePoint via an automatic provisioning system.
2004
The intense cooperation with Microsoft was rewarded with the title, Gold Certified Partner.
We built our own data centre in Lochristi, enabling us to set up new servers and carry out interventions rapidly. We finally had the entire quality cycle for our services under our own control.
2005
Hostbasket was named Hosting Provider Of The Year (EMEA Region)
2006
We opened a second data centre at LCL Diegem. This data centre is primarily used for the colocation or housing of servers and as a backup facility.
2008
Hostbasket was incorporated into the Telenet Group and started to work closely with the Telenet Solutions department, Telenet’s business division. Our joint mission: to enable your company to cooperate efficiently and economically (Telenet Business).
2009

2010
Our many years of continuous quality policy - focused on both the customer and the constant aim for improvement - was awarded with an ISO 9001:2008 certificate.
Partner programme
To guarantee our 30,000 customers a sound service and quality we work with more than 650 partners. They can manage their customers quickly and cost-efficiently, supplying them by means of the Hostbasket MyAccount website, an advanced control panel. The MyAccount website allows them to tailor each online product to the specific requirements of their customers.
