Hostbasket provides a reliable e-mail service as well as various other mail services such as daily backups, protection against spam and viruses, the use of your own domain name, mail forwarding, auto responders, etc.
With the necessary mobile equipment, you ensure that you can always be reached, anywhere, any time.
Daily backup
A safety copy is made daily of all emails (any calendar items, tasks, etc.) that are in your mailbox on the server at that time.
Spam/virus filter
Worldwide email traffic is bombarded on a daily basis with an excess of viruses and unwanted emails. Hostbasket scans your emails for viruses and spam before they arrive in your mailbox. This allows us to keep your mailbox free from unwanted messages and viruses, without any extra investment in software or hardware by you. The filters are continuously updated and maintained by us.
Our spam/virus filters are by default set at the Advanced level for all Office Mail mailboxes. Read more about the different levels in spam/virus filtering.Email aliases
An email alias on your domain allows you to create an unlimited number of variants of your email addresses on your domain (e.g. info@yourdomain.be, sales@yourdomain.be, admin@yourdomain.be). These will all end up in the same inbox.
Email forwards
You can create an email forward to have your email forwarded to an existing email account with another (free) provider (e.g. gmail, skynet, telenet). You will then not have a real mailbox with mail storage at Hostbasket.
Out-of-office (automatic reply)
Activate the Out-of-Office function when you can temporarily not check or reply to emails. The sender of the email will receive an automatic message (of which you can determine the content).
Shared tasks, calendars, contact persons, folders
View your co-workers' calendar and plan meetings quickly and efficiently. Delegate tasks to co-workers and keep track of the status of the tasks at any time. Common documents can be saved in shared folders, accessible via Outlook 2007.
