With Nomadesk, files are always up-to-date and available to team members whether they are online or offline. Nomadesk automatically synchronizes and updates the files on the cloud server and across the local servers of the team members. Different size teams are required for different size jobs; you can invite as few or as many members to team fileservers as you need at no extra cost.
FileLink™
FileLink is an easy and secure way of sharing files with people who do not have access to your fileserver. Sending a link to a file on your secure server is a safer method than sending attachments and eliminates the worry of sending files too large for mailbox limits. FileLink can be used by anyone and requires no software to be installed to download the file. You control how long the file is available for access and can be notified when the file has been downloaded.
Share an entire folder
Would you like to share dozens of files with co-workers or external parties without having to give them complete access to your file server? Folderlink is the perfect solution.
Via mynomadesk.be you are able to share any folder you like on your team fileserver while having various options at your disposal:
- You can allow team members to upload files to a specific folder on the fileserver.
- Access to a folder can be set to expire after n days.
- Added security by means of a password.
Share folders on your website using the Nomadesk Widget
Add this widget to your website and you can publicly share a folder on your fileserver with third parties, without login. This is very interesting to share brochures, price lists or to use as press room.
You don't have to publish your website each time you want to share updated documents with your visitors. You can allow your suppliers or customers to upload documents to this folder.

FileLink integration with Outlook 2007/2010
From now on Nomadesk users are able to email large files such as photos, graphics, videos and presentations through a password-protected link of a file that resides in a Nomadesk fileserver. When emailing an attachment, and using Microsoft Outlook, you will be given the option to send a FileLink vs. the actual file.
Your advantages:
- You can continue updating your attachments after they have been sent by email.
- You can send attachments of more than 10MB in a few seconds.
- Your email system will not be burdened.
- You can password protect your attachments.
- All sent attachments will be collected in a folder which can be used as an archive.
- Completely adjustable, you have full control.
- Read-only: the owner of a Fileserver can set this flag to prevent changes to the contents on a Fileserver.
- Ignore files: to prevent synchronization of certain Files, an ignore pattern can be configured.
- Work offline: Nomadesk automatically detects the network connection and works in offline mode when no internet connection is available or can be disconnected manually.
- Address book: Nomadesk can import email addresses from Microsoft® Outlook, Gmail or CSV files
- Windows® Explorer Integration: Hostbasket Nomadesk Fileservers appear as Windows® drives on your computer. Frequently used tools can be accessed by Right clicking a Fileserver.
- IntelliSignUp: the Nomadesk configuration wizard guides new or existing customers through the creation of Accounts and Fileservers.
