Server management by Hostbasket
Thanks to a lot of tools, centrally available in the Hostbasket MyAccount control panel, you can take full control over your server. At all times you can see what’s going on and you can intervene. But you don’t have to ... Hostbasket offers a range of Managed Services making your life easier. With the service Server management by Hostbasket, Hostbasket takes over the management of your server and executes the following tasks:
- Managed patches & upgrades (reboot in consultation with the customer).
- Advanced monitoring & alerting (made-to-measure work is possible, e.g. bandwidth, disk usage, etc.).
- Programming and maintenance SQL/MySQL maintenance plan.
- Daily control SQL/MySQL backups (heartbeat script).
- Daily control general backups.
- Monthly performance control with proactive advice concerning hardware, stability and safety.
- Server alerts are directly sent to Hostbasket and the customer. In case of problems Hostbasket will immediately intervene. These interventions will be done through service credits (the 24/7 Premium Support contract contains 50 service credits per year). Applications and/or software not provided by Hostbasket remain under the customer’s responsibility.
- (Optional) Deviant backup technology or procedures (e.g. grandfather-father-son principle on SAN storage)
- (Optional) Specific SLA procedures deviating from the above-mentioned items (e.g. certain first line actions at application level, escalation to a second level support staff), described in an annex to the standard SLA and if necessary at an extra cost.
- If server management needs to be provided on an active server, an initial server audit needs to be done in order to determine a clear initial situation for both parties (related to the actual performance, stability, safety). Further corrective actions can be necessary before activating the server management.
