Services

Your server is located in our own ultra modern and strongly secured data centre. With our redundant internet connections, you can always rely on a super fast connection to the internet.

To protect your server, Hostbasket provides a whole range of measures: a firewall managed by us blocks unauthorised traffic. You have the option of taking daily backups of the data on your server and the data centre is naturally also protected from physical breakin. You can always turn to our Support Team for assistance via telephone or email. The Premium Support option even lets you contact us 24/7 for help.

Installation support

Service is extremely important to us. That is why our technical support is completely at your disposal to answer your questions on the use of our control panels (MyAccount) and the services included with your server. We offer you 8 Service Credits for free with every new Dedicated Server.

Standard & Premium Support

Standard Support (included): contact Telenet by email, ticket or phone for answers to your questions or for performing interventions during Telenet office hours (8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). Certain interventions may be billed. You can assign a priority to your ticket and follow it up in your MyAccount control panel.
Premium Support (optional): same as Standard Support with additional 24/7 support for time-critical interventions.

Security Services

Firewall

A firewall protects your server against any non-authorized access from the internet. You can determine for each Dedicated or Dynamic Cloud Server which traffic should be allowed. This can be useful for some applications, such as FTP, SSH, Remote Desktop, Plesk, etc. You can enter the desired ports on your order form or, if necessary, ask us to change them later on (you can change these ports yourself for your Dynamic Cloud Servers). We also provide a hardware firewall for all servers.

VPN

Every Dedicated Server can be accessed via a VPN connection (Virtual Private Network). Thanks to a VPN connection, you can address your server with an internal IP address (e.g. 192.168.x.x), which offers optimum protection against hackers. These servers are by default unreachable with remote access software that use a public IP address.

Standard Management Services

24h monitoring

Your server is the beating heart of your company. If it is inaccessible, it can cost you trust and customers. Monitoring your server is therefore of essential importance. Telenet continuously checks the hardware as well as the availability of the services on your server. Hardware monitoring includes e.g. OS, disk space, CPU load, memory usage, ... . Services monitoring includes data traffic, PING, HTTP. Telenet also offers Advanced monitoring, through which all other processes or your own applications can be checked.

Alerting

In the event that there is a problem with your server, you will be automatically alerted by email. For some servers you'll even receive a text. In this way you can take the necessary steps to fix the problem or to notify Telenet.

Remote Cold Reboot

If your server should freeze, you can completely restart (cold reboot) your server remotely (via your MyAccount control panel).

Plesk licences

Plesk control panels have been designed to simplify the management and administration of websites. They automate a considerable number of tasks, which can help you increase your efficiency. It is currently the most stable and safest control panel on the market.

Installation of patches & upgrades

Hostbasket periodically provides the operating system of your server with the latest patches & upgrades. This way your server's security is ensured and you are able to save substantial time. We use Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for the management of patches.

WSUS is optional for Windows Web Server 2008 R2.

Self Managed Backup

Self Managed Backup is a service that makes up to 50 GB of disk space available on a remote server. You can use that space to back-up your data at regular times via FTP. If necessary, you can easily restore your files. You can only access this remote server via your own dedicated server.

Full data backup

The backup software, Symantec Netbackup PureDisk, creates incremental backups of all data on your dedicated server on a daily basis. No backup however is made of the operating system, the applications or the files that are locked or in use at that moment. The backups are saved in Hostbasket storage. You can use this data backup to restore a previous version of your files or to retrieve deleted data.

Managed services

Managed services is a bundled number of Hostbasket services that keep your server in optimum condition. For example, Hostbasket installs Service Packs, Security Patches and upgrades of the OS on a monthly basis and we perform preventive maintenance as well. In addition, we provide a backup option and we perform the validation for it.

Hardware replacement

Hostbasket maintains your dedicated server with care. This means that defective or poorly functioning hardware will be replaced by Hostbasket free of charge. This replacement is done at the request of the customer and with "Critical Priority". You can also request a "Critical 24/7 Intervention", but that will be billed.
