Hostbasket becomes Telenet [01-04-2011]
In 2008, Telenet strenghtened its position in the business market via the acquisition of Hostbasket NV. As of 1 april 2011 Hostbasket NV and Telenet NV will be merged, whereby Telenet NV will be the sole remaining legal entity.
The Hostbasket product en services as you know them, will remain unchanged and be part of Telenet’s products and services offer. Your contact person and the location of our premises in Lochristi also remain unchanged.
We are confident that this merger will enable us to serve you better and to offer you an even broader range of products and services.
In practice :
This merger implies that all contracts signed with Hostbasket NV will be transferred to Telenet NV, whereby all of the contractual rights and obligations will assumed by Telenet. As such, your current contracts will remain in force and no further action from your side is required.

.SE Updated Terms and Conditions notification to all registrants [13-01-2011]
.SE will be introducing updated conditions for registration for the purpose of simplifying and clarifying the rules and regulations. The new Terms and Conditions of Registration will be in force from February 15, 2011, and contain new wording concerning alternative dispute-solution procedures (item 7) as well as a clarification in item 9 concerning the handling of personal data. In addition, various wordings in the Terms and Conditions of Registration have been clarified.
All domain-name registrants must be informed about the introduction of the new Terms and Conditions of Registration, in accordance with stipulations outlined in .SE’s Terms and Conditions of Registration (item 9.2.3). In accordance with the business model introduced in 2009.
As a consequence, Ascio is responsible of sending out notification of the updated Terms and Conditions of Registration to all respective registrants. This notification mail will be sent out on 17 January. The notification will be co-branded with Partner name.
This means that partners may have to update the existing Terms and Conditions of Registration in your web interface / on your web site to the new version.
.SE registry will update the .SE Appendix in the RRPproxy web interface accordingly as soon as the new Terms and Conditions of Registration are available.
